The 100 Black Men of America first came to England in 1998. That chapter was formed in Birmingham by a group of professional black men who were concerned about what was happening in their city. The 100 Black Men of London was formed in April 2001 by a small group of concerned and committed men who came together and decided that if change was going to come in their community... they would have to be proactively involved in that process.
So armed with the experience that they had gained from the Birmingham chapter, determination, self- belief and a vision, they set about creating the 100 Black Men of London chapter.
Today we now comprise of a number of members who are committed to the growth and development of the organisation in line with it's mission and vision. Given the magnitude of the challenges facing our youth today we are probably just scratching the surface, but we are excited about our programmes and their possibilities, we look forward to the future, because we believe that collectively we can make a difference.
